Phenol Barbitol has a bad reputation, but it is a very effective medication to prevent seizures. My collie had serious crises ideopathic a few times a week when we (almost a year). We had the vet has him on the phenomenon and to 13 (lived a year longer than the average Collies), and had never attacked again. Phenotype is hard on the liver, but then given if the lowest possible dose and monitor the tests secure. There are a veteran of half the dose for my dog when he wanted to climb. The dog had a crisis over the years and wished that the scale of the dogs! I changed vets and I discussed with him the dose Halfing we have tried, and still without a crisis. The proportion of seizures in dogs may increase, decrease or disappear with time. To make a few adjustments

Although I would still see you when the vet gave the dog in the phenotypes think (unless it becomes chronic and crisis caused by something other than a problem) are caused neaurological There are many things that you have found help to alleviate the crisis, which means you can reduce the amount of the required phenol. Currently, the use of SHatred and potassium bromide with the phenotype is very common and works very well, I would really like to discuss with the veterinarian. The diet has also exert an influence. Try to find a veterinarian and has treated many dogs with seizures, especially in the breed and type of seizure dogs

Add: At the lowest dose that my dog has shown no side effects, was still active and has no weight gain

First you need to know what is the cause of the crisis, saying the only way is by examining veterinarian. Secondly, drugs for human use is often detrimental to your veterinarian and should never be used only on prescription from a veterinarian. So, if you are not your dog to the vet for a diagnosis, so as soon as possible to determine the cause of the crisis and to receive appropriate medications.

My dog has done and asks for their attacks. I was soooo skeptical at first because of side effects. But I had to give, or thinks it can not be forced to leave. I gave in, and things were great! Seizures in a year?

It is necessary to strictly follow the instructions of your veterinarian. Do not take advice from a qualified person in the network.
